I don’t know if this should be categorized as a “How-To” or “Humor” but I laugh every time I think about it. Everytime you connect to the Internet you are associated with a IP or Internet Protocol address. The subject can get a little confusing when you start talking about multiple computers on routers, switches, etc. but generally there will be a unique IP address somewhere.
To view your IP Address there are various command line options and programs you can run. You can also visit websites that will display the IP Address you are visiting from.
Now this is where the fun comes in. The other day I told an instructor about IPChicken. He immediately asked if IPRooster did the same thing. I typed it in and sure enough it did. Along with IPHippo, IPCow, IPTurtle, IPMonkey, IPPig and more!
UPDATE – and now you can try ip.thecomputerboy.com
