I read an article on Labnol.org a few weeks ago titled, “10 URLs Every Google User Should Know.” The information was scary on one hand but very beneficial on another. Details about where you have been for the past week or more specifically where your phone been, what you’ve searched for, where you’ve logged in from and more are all easily accessible if you know where to look.
I won’t get into the debate about Google knowing everything about us (they do), but hopefully knowing about this information may help you in the future. If I learned anything from this, it is yet another reason to keep my password and account secure.
Some highlights of the article include:
- How does Google see you – https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/
- Your location history – https://maps.google.com/locationhistory
- Your search history – https://history.google.com
- Where you are logging in from: https://security.google.com/settings/security/activity
